Xenophobia: Air Peace Boss in tear as returnees sang the National Anthem

Allen Onyema
Allen Onyema, director of Air Peace, says he sobbed when Nigerians who were coming back from South Africa mobbed him and sang the national Anthem.

Onyeama uncovered this while tending to the media soon after 187 Nigerians came back from South Africa over xenophobic assaults.

The carrier had offered free flights to the individuals who tried to return.

"I set up together over N280 million in other to bring these individuals back, Air Peace chose to bring them for nothing out of pocket, no one paid us a dime, we chose to do it gratis for our nation and for our kin.
"When I ventured inside the air ship to invite them, they mobbed me and began singing the Nigerian national Anthem, there was no one there singing about partition, they felt glad to be Nigerian, they ascended as one, that drew tears from me."
